By Joshua Goldman Full disclosure – I’m not even a Kentucky fan (although I do love basketball), but I got to read excerpts of “One and Fun” prior to its release. I’ve got to say, this is a fantastic book; a fast-paced, information-packed, must-read for anyone who loves Kentucky basketball, or even the sport in general. Aaron Torres takes readers behind the scenes for a team that wasn’t just full of talent, but personality too. The book is filled with great stories about John Calipari, John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins and all the characters that made up this team. I can’t recommend “One and Fun” highly enough for just about any basketball fan out there.

By Amanda Green This book takes readers on an inside look at Coach Cal's first team at Kentucky. This was the team that announced to the world that Kentucky Basketball was back to being the premier basketball program in America. Aaron's writing and behind the scenes stories are fantastic and will give fans of Kentucky Basketball an idea of what that first season was like. Having followed Aaron and his writing for a long time, even this book blew away my expectations. It took me right back to that fantastic season, from the John Wall dance at Big Blue Madness, to his coming out party to the nation against North Carolina, to the Hoops for Haiti benefit that went beyond the basketball court, to the infamous DeMarcus Cousins "Call Me" game against Miss. State, to the fantastic finish in the SEC Tournament. This was the team that has shaped college basketball into what it is today. For most, the term "one and done" is a nasty term that some deem to be the problem with all of college basketball. But it truly was a "One and Fun" season that most premier teams model themselves after today. I cannot recommend this book highly enough for any fan of Kentucky Basketball. Put it on your Christmas list and enjoy re-living the fantastic season that was truly ONE AND FUN! I would give it 10 stars if I could!

By M B As an avid, bleed-blue-til-I-die Kentucky Wildcats fan, it was a no-brainer that I would purchase this book. I expected an entertaining read that would take me down memory lane to that beloved 2009-10 UK team. This book far exceeded my expectations. Besides reliving the special moments of that season, there were many stories I had never before heard. Beyond that, looking back at the entire landscape of college basketball in 2009-10 and comparing it to the present day emphasizes the impact this team had on not only changing the culture of Kentucky Basketball, but changing college basketball overall. If you're a Kentucky fan, this is a MUST to add to your library. If you're one that cannot stand Kentucky Basketball, then this book is even more of a necessity. There is much to learn and more to respect about UK than you ever dreamed possible.
