Zoe is determined to get revenge on the infamous Reilly brothers for her sister’s heartbreak. So when an unexpected opportunity gives Zoe a way in to uncaring—and dizzyingly gorgeous!—successful music producer Matt Reilly’s world, she jumps at the chance to make him pay.

But living with Matt as nanny to his two adorable, but complicated children, Zoe soon begins to suspect that not everything is as it seems… Matt insists on pushing everyone away including his children, but why? And if his delicious summer kisses are anything to go by, he can’t be that bad surely?

Can Zoe convince Matt to open up a little and help fix this family before she leaves…or worse, before Matt learns who she really is?

Book #6 of the #LoveLondon series, sadly also the last one. I enjoyed this series so much, every single book was special and I don’t want it to end!!!This last story, Picnics in Hyde Park and it follows Zoe Harper. Zoe is a nanny and has just come back from America after her fiancé Greg has cheated on her. In addition, there is her sister Melody, also a nanny. She has been fired in a cruel way, is jobless now and heartbroken. Zoe is determined to seek revenge and goes to work as a nanny for Matt Reilly, Melody’s previous boss. We find out that Melody was in a relationship with his brother Stephen. What really happened between them we don’t know, Zoe knows what Melody told her and Matt knows what his brother told him.Matt’s kids are adorable and we have met them already in Skating at Somerset house. Jasper is Noel’s godson and I was so happy to read about Jasper and his sister Aimee again, they are awesome! Zoe develops a great relationship with them and that was wonderful to read about. Now back to Matt Reily, successful music producer. He comes across grumpy and arrogant at first. His behaviour becomes quite clear and understandable when we learn about what happened to his wife Helen, to mum of his children. The story is very touching and emotional.Meeting Zoe changed something in him and not only him, also his children. She makes him see his own children in a different light and she was able to break his shell. It was wonderful to see their relationship change and he became this attentive, sexy, sweet and charming man. Hello book boyfriend ;)Zoe was a great character as well. Of course I didn’t like her plan of revenge, but I could see her change her mind as well. She got to know Matt and the kids and her feelings developed. Zoe had some cute scenes with the kids, I really enjoyed those. Her scenes with Matt were different, but also very gripping, interesting and charming. I loved their scenes. Zoe found a way to bring them back to Hyde Park, a place connected to sad memories, but she was able to create a new happy place for the whole family. At one point of course Matt had to find out about Melody and that was not all! That added a lot to the storyline and the drama and I just hoped for them to find a way. What I thought was fantastic in this story, was that all the previous couples had an appearance again, it was so wonderful to read about them again and to see the connections between them.I think I found a new favourite in this series, I just adore this story!!! Zoe and Matt are a fab couple and next to Noel and Holly they are my faves. I really like all of them though and I hope that we’ll hear from them again, How about a “5 Years Later” #LoveLondon book Nikki?! ;)Nikki’s style of writing is really unique. She always finds a gripping way to engage the reader, the scenes flow beautifully and have an authentic and unique spark. London and the settings seemed vivid and I felt like being there with the characters and that’s what I love for in a story!!! FABULOUS, TERRIFIC and JUST AWESOME!!!!!

I loved, loved and LOVED the story of Zoe By The Nest of Books Review Picnic in Hyde Park is the sixth and the last book in the LoveLondon series by the fabulous Nikki Moore. There is five novellas ( Skating in Somerset House, New Year in the Ritz, Valentine's on Primrose Hill, Cocktails in Chelsea and Strawberries at Wimbledon) all leading up to Picnics in Hyde Park. This book is also a part of the HarperImpulse READ- A- THON.I loved, loved and LOVED the story of Zoe, our main character, and her younger sister Melody. The book kicks off with an angry and a furious Zoe turning up on the doorstep of Melody's ex boss's house. She is seeking revenge for Melody's unfair work dismissal and a consequent emotional break down. Melody worked as a nanny for a successful music producer Matt Reilly who (after finding out about Melody's potential blackmail of his younger brother Stephen) has decided to fire her on the spot.Zoe is such a lovable character, she is a feisty, a smart and a determined young woman who has a magical touch with kids. She is the super nanny! Zoe is also fiercely protective of her younger sister Melody. I loved the way she cared about everyone who was important to her. I understood why was Zoe so adamant to make Matt pay for what he has done to Melody. Who wouldn't! It was clever and sort of canny of her to accept the position of a nanny for Matt's family. But despite Zoe's motives she managed to build a wonderful and a caring relationship with Aimee and Jasper, mend Matt's way of life and inject some warmth and love into the complicated Reilly family.Zoe was badly hurt in her previous two relationships and has a lot on her plate after arriving back home so it is only natural to act the way she does but as the story progresses Zoe's attitude starts to change and she realises that she missed the place she grew up, her family and friends and her old life. Zoe yet again relishes London versatility and the promise of something new and exciting ahead. There is definitely lots of spark and flirting going on between Zoe and Matt form the very beginning and even though the story-line is slightly predictable ( we all want happy endings after all) it also has a few surprises and twists up its sleeve and a few deeper issues to solve.I fell in love with all the characters, new and old, their way of dealing with problems and acting in the face of raw sadness or heady happiness. It very captivating, inpiring and truly believable. There were few scenes that had me in tears and I could not even contemplate how hard it must have been for Matt and his young children to experience such an upheaval in their life.Nikki's descriptions of London and Hyde Park are so skillful and vivid that I felt like I was right there splashing in the fountain or having a stroll through the park itself.Picnics in Hyde Park is not only a story about love and romance it is also a story about the importance of a family and the way we all should respect and love each other because life is just too short!Nikki Moore is a brilliant writer. She creates warm, fun, flirty and realistic characters and a story that flows in such a easy manner that it makes it so difficult to put down. It ticked all my boxes of a truly fabulous read.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Nikki has created such lovely and heartfelt stories with the beautiful city of London as one more character too By Alba in Bookland I have read and enjoyed a couple of the #LoveLondon short stories that Nikki Moore has released during this year, and I really wanted to read them all before starting Picnics at Hyde Park, the full novel that closes this series but when it landed on my kindle, I just couldn't resist diving it straight away.I have to admit though that I was equal parts curious and worried about the premise of this book. I have read quite a lot of stories with the same rough idea: widowed father who doesn't really connect with his children and beautiful nanny who makes him realise what he's missing out and both end up falling in love with each other. But I shouldn't have worried at all, Nikki Moore managed to give this story another dimension, adding a bit of mystery, some secrets, a couple of twits and, especially, lots of heart and soon I found myself totally hooked with Zoe and Matt's story. One thing I really enjoyed with the story were Matt's children. Nikki created these two little kids with their own personalities and with their own story to tell. I think that, as characters, they were well developed and believable and added a fun spark to the story.During this book we also have some guest appearances from the characters of the previous stories in the series. I always enjoy catching up with old beloved characters, I am curious like that. And now I can't wait to pick up the stories I haven't read yet in this series.Nikki has created such lovely and heartfelt stories with the beautiful city of London as one more character too. I loved visiting all these parts of one of my favourite cities through news eyes and I have noted down quite a lot of locations for my next visit.
