By Reading Girl Does the thought of relaxing with a famously hand crafted boutique wine on a large homestead veranda, looking over a vibrant vineyard appeal to you? It does to me - I also like food writing so alive I can smell and taste the flavours. It's sort of like eating without the calories. Ha! Berry Flavours has a little suspense and a bit of family drama in the romance as well. And speaking of romance, how does sexy vineyard-owning man with a strong sense of family, stability and passion in his intense green-eyed stare appeal to you?Set in part of the famous South Australian wine country, Darry Fraser has built a world on an age-ripened, family owned vineyard that includes a cast of characters you will want to be friends with, a sleepy romantic Aussie town, enough action to feel like you need to head to the big city for a break, and generations old mysteries waiting to be solved. I had a lovely morning with this read. Coffee, sunshine, relaxing and Darry Fraser are the perfect combination. It's a short novel - a novella really - so its the kind of thing you'd want to enjoy on a holiday or a lazy weekend morning. I tend to read "Hotter" material, and if this was longer, I might have gotten a little frustrated (pardon the pun) but for a book that takes you to a lovely location for a short while, its really pleasant.
