About the Author A sports fanatic, a shoe lover, and a word enthusiast walk into a bar. If you’re waiting for the punch line, there isn’t one. Thai Eileen is all of these things, equally. Chances are she was a sports fan before she made her debut to the world. She grew up sandwiched between two brothers and following the lead of her parents on game day. She gained a true appreciation for shoes early in life, and was adamant that her doll’s shoes had to match its outfit. Her love of words developed before her shoes were without velcro straps and characters, and continued to flourish as she matriculated through school. Thai is a published journalist who has covered sports for more than a decade. She has also been trusted to cover other entertainment topics, fashion, alternative health, and beauty. She served as a host on a sports talk radio show in Chicago using the same name, Stats & Stilettos. Thai prides herself on being the voice in sports that doesn’t sound like a statistics machine, but more like the best friend you call for brunch and bottomless mimosas...who just so happens to have the ability to break down last nights buzzer beater. Thai Eileen is determined to bridge the sports gap between men and women...to breakdown the rules, highlight the teams and get more women into the stadium.

I will be ordering as a holiday gift for all my single and married girlfriends. I'm ready to talk sports with the hubby now! I love how the book is broken into sections and easy to reference in a clutch.

Finally a sports 101 guide in MY language. Now I can feel confident in my football knowledge just in time for all these playoff games and bowls!

The Perfect Sports Reference Book By Amazon Customer For every man who has ever become frustrated TRYING to explain a sport to their significant other, Stats & Stilettos is the perfect middle ground. The book is broken down in sections (football, basketball, baseball, ice hockey, golf and NCAA) for easy reference and provides pictures for further clarification. Not only does the book break down sports, but also helps the reader understand why sports are important, how understanding can be helpful in relationships and provides useful (yet fun) tips on how to really get involved! I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking to learn more about sports...and a great gift for that special someone in your life who rolls their eyes every time you sit down to watch the game.
